In the following you will find examples of graphics projects that I have been responsible for or involved in. Certain of the projects also involved an educational component, i.e. development of interpretive signage.

Star Gazing at the Zoo Flyer
In 2006, the Honolulu Zoo introduced a new event: Star Gazing at the Zoo. This program consists of a one-hour twilight tour of some of the nocturnal animals of the Zoo, followed by a one-hour astronomy program led by guest astronomer, Dr. Chauvin of the University of Hawaii.
I created this flyer to promote the very first event. The image is of a Komodo dragon. Superimposed upon it is the constellation Draco (the Dragon). The flyer was created in Photoshop. |

Zoo Education Programs Flyer
A large proportion of the visitors to the Honolulu Zoo are tourists. This rack card was designed to fit into the card racks at the activity desks of the numerous hotels of Waikiki, Honolulu. The card highlights two special evening events at the Zoo ("Twilight Tours" and "Stargazing at the Zoo") and also offers general admissions information.
I designed the card in Photoshop. It measures 9x4". |

Brochure for Membership Drive, Honolulu Zoo Society
In the spring of 2006, The Honolulu Zoo Society's Membership department held a membership drive to regain lapsed members and recruit new ones. This was the brochure that was used.
The brochure consists of two sides, each with four panels. It was folded in three accordion folds with the rightmost green panel below as the cover. I created the brochure in Photoshop. It measures 8.5x4" folded. |

Education Programs Poster
I created twelve informational sheets for the Honolulu Zoo Society's Education Programs. Showcasing the twelve different education programs available at the Zoo, these info sheets make up one big poster. The one info sheet shown here is for the Zoo's Twilight Tour.
The info sheets were created using photographs of the Zoo's animals, using Photoshop. |

Interpretive Signs I
These banners were created for the Honolulu Zoo's new orangutan exhibit, holding a male and a female orangutan. The images on the banners are life-sized - the banners are 40 x 100" !
The banners have proven very popular with visitors. They offer an easy and fun way for a person to compare her- or himself with an orangutan, size-wise, and they also offer an easy means for visitors to distinguish the Zoo's two orangutans. Furthermore, the banners offer a great photo opportunity spot, something that indirectly creates advertising for the Zoo!
The banners were created in Photoshop. I traced photographs of orangutans to create the silhouettes. In addition to a brief paragraph about male and female orangutan behaviour, respectively, the banners also bear personal data for the two individual orangutans.

Interpretive Signs II
In addition to the above banners, the two signs below were created to interpret Honolulu Zoo's new orangutan exhibit. They measure 24x48", and are displayed prominently at the exhibit.
I created the signs in Photoshop.
